CampConnect may collect health and fitness-related information you voluntarily share, such as hiking activity, trail completion, and outdoor physical activity logs. This data is used solely to enhance your camping and outdoor experience within the app.

🔹 Precise Location

With your permission, we collect your precise GPS location to help you log wildlife sightings with accurate coordinates, find nearby campgrounds, and tag locations to photos and reports. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

🔹 Coarse Location

We also collect approximate location data (e.g., city or region) to show relevant campgrounds in your area, regional pest alerts, and local wildlife activity. This may be collected even when precise location is not enabled.

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your CampConnect account
Connect you with your camping crew and trip members
Send trip invitations and crew notifications
Log and display wildlife sightings and location-tagged content
Show nearby campgrounds, trails, and pest alerts

With Other Users: Your name and profile photo are visible to your camping crew members and trip participants.

4. Location Data

Location coordinates attached to sightings and photos are visible to other app users
You can disable location access at any time in your device's Settings app
